yet用于否定句和疑问句中及用于表示怀疑的动词之后,意思是“还,尚,仍然,直至现在”,在英式英语中通常用于现在或过去完成时,在美式英语中通常用于一般过去时。

yet用于疑问句中,还可作“已经”“还”“仍然”解,通常放在句末。

yet用于肯定句中,可表示“还”“尚”,有时含有“还为时太早”之意; 与形容词或副词的比较级连用时意为“甚至,更”“还要”,与*高级连用意为“到目前〔当时〕为止(*…)”。
